Zen Screen
Zen Screen - Digital Wellbeing app
Zen Screen was an app developed from a start-up I co-founded with a few other members from Opera Software. We wanted to address the growing issue of screen and device addiction among children.
The concept of ‘zen’ emphasizes rigorous self-control and meditation practices. The goal was to incorporate those sentiments into the app in order to make it less of a utility app to monitor the user’s own usage as well as their loved ones.

Schedules may be set so the “Parent” can be sure that certain or all apps cannot be used during impermissible times. Limits can also be set in order to ensure that every day the screen time of every “child” user is within an acceptable limit.
